When darts hit the board, they produce a “knocking sound” that can sometimes be perceived as very disturbing in your own surroundings or by neighbors. Together with sound insulation experts, Karella has now developed the perfect solution to almost completely eliminate this noise. Dart players have been waiting a long time for an invention like this. What makes it special is the high fiber core density, which achieves the highest level of sound reduction compared to other systems and can also be precisely verified through measurements.

The secret lies in the material composition and construction:
The 2-part Karella Sound Insulation Ultimo consists of a soundproofing core on which the steel dartboard is mounted, and a surrounding sound insulation ring Ø69 cm. Both parts are made from millions of highly specialized sound insulation fibers. Through the interaction of the soundproofing core and the surrounding sound insulation ring, almost complete noise decoupling is achieved. When the dart hits the board, the dull knocking sound is transferred from the back of the dartboard to the entire fiber panel. Professional measurements have demonstrated a noise reduction of over 80% in adjacent rooms. The measured values were below 30 dB, which means that legally required nighttime quiet hours remain 100% unaffected. With its size, the anthracite-colored Karella Sound Insulation Ultimo covers an area of 12 cm around the dartboard and is therefore also ideally suited for use as a surround due to its material composition. This dual benefit makes the purchase of the Karella sound insulation even more economical. If required, any standard catch ring can also be used additionally without restriction.

The Karella sound insulation is 100% made in Germany.

The fiber material has been tested for harmful substances according to Oeko-Tex standards, without any chemical additives. Odor-neutral and environmentally friendly. The sound insulation is highly dimensionally stable and therefore very robust and durable, as it is virtually wear-free. This visually attractive sound insulation is universally suitable for any steel dartboard, and the most common dartboard lighting systems can also continue to be used.
